Klapel® Model 202 Snare Drum
Klapel® Model 202 snare offers a new sound for drummers. Using the latest in composite technology, the 202 creates a powerful sound rarely heard from traditional snare drums. Excellent feel, less "ping", and a crack that will leave you speechless. The Klapel 202 is handcrafted and assembled in Colorado. Weighing in at just 5.6 lbs, the materials of the shell and hoops are not off the shelf. The construction has been developed and tested from innovative material suppliers in the U.S.A.
What is it? Glass Fiber combined with Engineered and Advanced Polymers are the basis of the Model 202. The refined material combination gives your drum a unique sound.
Why Glass Fiber? Glass fiber inherently resists high impacts while maintaining form. Glass fiber is an insulating material, reducing the amount of overtones and unwanted sounds inherent to industry standard rims.
What are Engineered Polymers? There are thousands of polymer chemistry formulations available. The polymers used in the Model 202 suspends the glass fibers to deliver durability, sound management, and product stability.
